You can access the The Kaikoura Trail from The Fairways and it takes you on a cycle tour of the Kaikoura district and gives you the chance to explore some of the places you don't see from the highway. Mt Fyffe and the Seaward Kaikoura Range watch over you for the entire trail, and you will get many glimpses of the ocean as you make your way around.

We strive to provide you with a room that is clean and comfortable, and with a friendly attentive service.&nbsp; We set high standards and take pride in our facility.&nbsp;Our staff are fantastic; dedicated to ensuring the maintenance of high standards of presentation, hygiene and cleanliness. &nbsp;Enjoy the resturants/cafes, tours, wildlife and beaches and retreat to your own peaceful paradise at the end of it all. The fairways is located in the stunning subdivision of Ocean Ridge. It boarders the Kaikoura golf course and is surrounded by natural native bush and farm land.&nbsp;Numerous walking tracks and mountain bike tracks start or pass through the subdivision on out into the rugged wilderness or shores of the ocean close by.&nbsp;There are so many activities to enjoy within the local area from visits to the seal colonies, whale watch, swim with the dolphins, walks biking, Kayaking and so much more. Just make sure you allow enough time to take in all that Kaikoura has to offer. The Fairways is a great base for launching day trips to Hamner ( 1.5 hrs) and Mount Lyford (45 minutes) and places north to Blenheim or Picton (1 .5 - 2 hrs).See, explore and enjoy the many pleasures of Kaikoura

Check-in / Check-outCheck-in is from 2pm, but during the busy summer season check-in may be delayed till 3pm. Your apartment or studio may be available prior to this time, however we cannot guarantee access before 2pm. Check-out is 10am. Early check-in or late check-out may be available by arrangement subject to availability and an additional charge.Quoted RatesRates quoted in your booking are based on the selected type of accommodation required, number of occupants and length of stay and any alterations to these details may affect the nightly rate charged.Guaranteed ReservationsA valid credit card is required to guarantee all bookings. We accept&nbsp;credit cards including Visa and Mastercard.&nbsp;Your card will not be charged until check-in, but is held as security for your reservation and utilised for any applicable cancellation or non-arrival charges. This card may also be used for any charges remaining unpaid on check-out.Payment at check-inPayment is requested on check in. A valid credit card will be requested from the occupant of the apartment or studio when checking in. Payment via third party may be arranged in advance by contacting The Fairways directly. For guests without a credit card, photo ID will be requested and full cash payment of accommodation plus a bond for incidental charges may be required at check-in. Bonds vary by length of stay.Cancellation PolicyCancellations may be made up until 14 days prior to day of arrival for no charge. After this time apartments or studio’s cancelled will be charged the full rate. Cancellations for Groups and Corporate bookings will be advised at time of booking. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you acknowledge that the named guest will be personally liable for all accommodation and incidental costs charged to the apartment or studio after check-in, for any loss or damage to the apartment or studio during their stay, for any cancellation or non-arrival fees, and for any debt collection costs incurred.Events (Kaikoura Beach Hop, Races etc) have a special cancellation policy: Free of charge up to 4 weeks prior to date pf arrival, after this time we will charge the cost for the first night.Over long weekends, statutory holidays or event weekends cancellations may be made up until 14 days prior to arrival for no charge.&nbsp;Any other dates cancellations may be made up until 14 days prior to day of arrival for no charge.Group Booking (3 Apartments &amp; more):Cancellations for Groups and Corporate bookings&nbsp;will be advised at time of booking.By agreeing to these terms and conditions you acknowledge that the named guest will be personally liable for all accommodation and incidental costs charged to the apartment or studio after check-in, for any loss or damage to the apartment or studio during their stay, for any cancellation or non-arrival fees, and for any debt collection costs incurred.Early departureEarlier departure than the reserved date may not result in a refund, unless The Fairways is able to replace the booking. To enable the best possible chance of reselling the apartment or studio early departures must check-out by 10am as the apartment or studio will need to be cleaned.Internet usage and copyrightThe Fairways provides free internet access to enable its guests to access email accounts and to search for information via the internet. Under New Zealand Copyright Law the rights holders (owners) of movies, TV shows, and music can now send fines of up to $15,000 to The Fairways if their copyrights are infringed. If you infringe any rights holders copyright, and The Fairways is fined, those fines will be passed on to you.DamagesDamage to The Fairways’ property should be reported immediately. Any extra cleaning, repairs or replacements required to restore our guest apartments or studio’s or property to its normal condition will be charged to the registered guest at replacement cost or market rates, plus a charge for any resultant loss of income if applicable. We will take a pre-authorisation of your credit card on day of arrival to cover costs in case of any incidental damages.Apartment/Studio conditionIf your apartment or studio is left in an unsatisfactory state, this includes, excessive rubbish, misuse of The Fairways’ property, any unhygienic uncleanliness, soiling, excessive mess or odour in the kitchen, which causes excessive and unwarranted cleaning time by The Fairways staff, The Fairways reserves the right to charge for the cost of extra cleaning, repairs or replacements required to restore our guest apartments or studio’s or property to its normal condition.SmokingThere is strictly NO SMOKING inside the apartments or studios. If a smoking violation occurs in an apartment or studio, including disabling smoke alarms, The Fairways reserves the right to charge the registered guest a $150.00 non-refundable fee. We appreciate your co-operation in ensuring our guests and employees are not subject to second-hand smoke.No petsThere is strictly NO PETS allowed.Child PolicyThe Fairways allows a child up to 5 years of age to stay for free using the existing bedding. Baby porter cots are complimentary upon request and subject to availability. Individuals above the age of 12 are considered as adults by The Fairways.Extra bed policyAdditional rollaway beds are allowed at an extra charge; subject to availability.Minimum stayA 2-night minimum stay is required over NZ Statutory Holidays or on special events.Privacy Policy: We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected.
